TEAM MODEL

The Change Navigators team ostensibly comprises Ann Pensom in her role as principal.  Further information about her is provided below.  From time-to-time, depending upon client needs, job size, work volume etc., like-minded and highly skilled colleagues who share the same service principles as Ann are invited to join her in delivering projects.  This might be colleagues who are part of the project from the outset or colleagues who join the project for discrete elements, bringing specialized expertise or particular experience for enhanced outcomes.

DR. ANN PENSOM
Principal

Ann is both an organisational and counselling psychologist (Reg. No. PSY0001124712) who delivers first-class psychology services to businesses.  Adopting a partnership approach, Ann helps individuals, teams and organisations navigate the ever-changing landscape of business.  Within this context, she aims to make a positive difference in people’s lives by helping them create satisfying and rewarding work-based relationships and environments.  Ann achieves this through her own company, The Change Navigators, which she formed in 1997 after working for 10 years in the financial services industry, both in Australia and the UK.

EXPERIENCE

Ann has extensive experience regarding the management and development of people and regarding people-related business processes. 

Over the last 30 years, Ann has:
  • coached others, both formally and informally
  • designed, lead and facilitated hundreds of management, leadership, and skills development workshops
  • developed solid experience of working on and leading projects where the client organisation wants to affect business-wide culture change
  • worked successfully with populations of varying seniority, demographics and skill sets, and,
  • delivered on success criteria include positive shifts in staff motivation, morale and engagement. 
 
Ann upholds strong client service standards and the highest ethics in all her work.  These strengths, coupled with her ease of communication, her ability to develop a strong rapport with people from all levels of the organisation and her sense of humour, mean that she can be trusted to deliver high quality results that engage people and deliver great outcomes for her clients.​

  • Professional Doctorate in Psychology [Counselling Psychology] [Thesis Title:  Leaders’ Attachment Orientations, their Authentic Leadership Levels, and Followers’ Work Experiences] – Swinburne University, VIC.
Professional Qualifications/Accreditations include:
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – National Business Institute of Australia

  • Human Synergistics Life Styles Inventory (LSI 360 Assessment) and Group Styles Inventory (GSI)

Winner of the Australian Psychological Society College of Counselling Psychologists Doctoral Award in 2014 (acknowledging the overall best student completing an APAC-accredited doctoral program in Counselling Psychology at an Australian tertiary institution in that calendar year).

Registered Organisational Psychologist and Counselling Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Registered Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia, with approval across all pathways to registration as a psychologist:
  • 4+2 internship principal supervisor and secondary supervisor
  • 5+1 internship principal supervisor and secondary supervisor
  • Higher degree placement supervisor: Areas of practice — Organisational Psychology and Counselling Psychology
  • Working in addition to placements supervisor
